Happy Birthday, Violet

I made this hybrid card for my friend Violet, who celebrates her birthday this weekend.

The card front is a digi page from Fee Jardine called Fallin 4 You Mixed Up Papers from Sweet Shoppe Designs. I added paper from Making Memories and a Hambly Studios sticker on top of the card front.

I again used the digital cutting kit from Jen Allyson called Project Cuts - Cut Out Card to cut the card front and insert using my QuicKutz Silhouette.

The butterfly was created by using a brayer to add color onto glossy paper. I stamped a woodgrain stamp using VersaMark ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.

Card Ingredients
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes (SU!), woodgrain stamp (Hero Arts)

Paper: kraft (SU!), white glossy kromekote, Chloe's Closet (Making Memories), Fallin 4 You Mixed Up Papers (Sweet Shoppe Designs), Kraft Cardstock Sticker (Hambly Studios)

Ink: Chestnut Roan (ColorBox), Kaleidacolor Country, VersaMark

Tools: corner rounder (Fiskars), QuicKutz Silhouette, Big Shot, Butterfly die (SU!), brayer

Other: clear embossing powder, button (Making Memories), twine (SU!), foam tape

Thanks! - Digi Papers By Fee Jardine

Hi everyone! This has been Fee Jardine day on my blog. The card front is digi pager from Fee Jardine called Fallin 4 You Mixed Up Papers from Sweet Shoppe Designs.

Of all the hybrid cards I'm posting today, this is my least favorite. The ribbon and the scalloped edge under the ribbon don't add anything to this card. I added glittered glue (Stickles) to the paper to give a cool detail and make a digi paper seem like embellished paper.

I again used the digital cutting kit from Jen Allyson called Project Cuts - Cut Out Card to cut the card front and insert using my QuicKutz Silhouette.

Thanks for looking!

Card Ingredients
Stamps: Many Thanks (SU!-retired)

Paper: chocolate chip (SU!), Fallin 4 You Mixed Up Papers (Sweet Shoppe Designs)

Ink: VersaMark

Tools: corner rounder (Fiskars), QuicKutz Silhouette, scalloped edge punch (SU!)

Other: white embossing powder, twine (Blackbird Studios), foam tape, Riding Hood Red ribbon (SU!), white gel pen (Sakura)

Friend - Digi Papers By Fee Jardine

I've been busy each day at school helping with our Scholastic Book Fair. Very challenging; younger elementary-age kids don't easily get the concept of paying tax on their items. They'll show up at the register with a book for $9.99 and expect that their $10 bill will cover the cost.

I used a kraft cardstock base and digi papers from Fee Jardine called Fallin 4 You Mixed Up Papers from Sweet Shoppe Designs.

I also used the digital cutting kit from Jen Allyson called Project Cuts - Cut Out Card to cut the card front and insert using my QuicKutz Silhouette.

I stamped the friend sentiment and added some bling, ribbon, faux stitching, and some foam tape to give the card some dimension and I was done.

Thanks for looking! I have 2 more cards I'll post this afternoon when I get back from school.

Card Ingredients
Stamps: For a Friend (SU!)

Ink: Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink (ColorBox)
Tools: QuicKutz Silhouette
Other: rhinestone brad (Making Memories), mini rhinestones (Michael's), Kraft ribbon (SU!), foam tape
