Sending Birthday Wishes

I've been a fan of Papertrey Ink for a while now. How can you not be, right? Nichole is having a huge 3rd year anniversary celebration. I had to join in the fun.

I used the cupcake image from Heather Nichols. I printed two images out and cut the top off of one of them and coated it with Stickles. I used some foam tape to mount it on the first cupcake.

This is the first card I've made that is almost entirely Papertrey Ink.

Happy Anniversary Papertrey Ink!

Card Ingredients (all PTI except where noted)
Stamps: Everyday Button Bits (thanks Heather P!), digi stamp from Heather Nichols
Paper: Lemon Tart, Aqua Mist, White, Bitty Boxes patterned paper
Ink: Chocolate Chip (SU!), Aqua Mist
Tools: Silhouette used to cut circles and design
Other: button, foam tape (3M), Stickles, Tomobow Mono Multi Liquid Glue

Thank You - Using Up Scraps

The weekend is over. I'm always a little sad about that. Tomorrow it's back to the regular routine of getting up early, making breakfast for the little guy, packing his lunch, and walking to school by 8:30AM. This week I'm focusing on making thank you cards for all our Christmas blessings. Family and friends have been so kind.

After creating my Christmas cards, I had a lot of strips of paper left over. You know, the strip of paper leftover when you use an edge punch, like the scalloped edge punch. I had already glued the strips down to this shape I cut with my Silhouette, when I saw Nichole mentioned her Scrap-tastic challenge for her senior design team.

I really like the card. I have other Scrap-tastic cards to finish up. Thanks for stopping by!

Card Ingredients
Stamps: Remember (Papertrey Ink)
Paper: Kraft, Baja Breeze, & loads of strips of SU! designer papers

Tools:  Silhouette, oval punch (SU!), eyelet setter (Making Memories)
Other: button (Papertrey Ink), mini eyelets (Making Memories), Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue, linen thread (SU!), foam tape, Glue Dots, white gel pen (Sakura)

Theresa's Why Mess With a Good Thing Challenge

Theresa's challenge this week was to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) from one of our favorite designers. I choose Nichole Heady from Papertrey Ink. I love her work!

I had printed out this blue and brown paisley butterfly card from her blog in April with the intention of CASEing it. It caught my attention because I love butterflies, but I also knew I had the exact same ribbon she used in her card. I also loved the punched circle in the kraft paper. I don't have the stamps she used, but here's my version.

Card Ingredients
Stamps: butterfly (Magenta), SU Little Pieces
Paper: white, kraft, Cool Caribbean, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Encore Pigment Ink (Bark), Cool Caribbean, Chocolate Chip
Other: Clear embossing powder, stripped ribbon (Michael's), Martha Stewart markers, slit punch
