Happy Birthday, Esther!

Hi everyone! I'm always posting these at the very last minute! This card is for Kristina's Color Inspiration Challenge #47. The colors this week were: chocolate chip, tangerine tango, so saffron, whisper white

I made this card for my sister, Esther, who celebrated her birthday yesterday. These colors were hard! I struggled with them. I used Charmaine's Weekend Sketch Challenge #74 to help me along.

Thanks for looking!

Happy Halloween - WSC60

This card makes me happy. I made it using Beate's Weekend Sketch #60. I haven't done one of her sketches in a few weeks, but I had to do this one.

Last week, I saw this YouTube
video by Ku-Ku. This woman is so creative. Check her out! I loved her simple card where she made a spider using a button and googly eyes. She drew in the legs. I knew this spider would be a good addition to the rubbed on spiders. After watching the video, I immediately went downstairs to look for all my black buttons.

I'm seriously lacking in Halloween stamps. Besides this Happy Halloween stamp, I have none...I know, you're shocked! This card is too thick to mail, but I think I'll give it to my son's Kindergarten teacher.

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: All Holidays
Paper: whiter textured paper, Basic Black, Ghostly Greetings DSP
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Spider rub-ons (K & Company), foam tape, Zots, black button, googly eyes, ribbon (Michael's)

Para Ti

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I love the crayon resist technique. I just had to use it for Beate's Weekend Sketch #57. The crayon resist challenge was for the CCEE Stampers Blog.

I used an old (about 10 years old!) Kaleidacolor rainbow ink pad for this card. I'm surprised it still worked. I stamped the Priceless stamps with Memories black ink on glossy paper a while back. I used a white Crayola crayon and highlighted different areas. Using a brayer, I rolled ink onto the image. I love the effect. I used the same rainbow pad to ink up Para Ti.

Thanks for looking!

Card Ingredients
Stamps: Priceless, Tarjetas con Bordes Festoneados
Paper: textured Tangerin Tango, glossy white, Basic Black
Ink: Kaleidacolor Desert Heat, Memories Black
Other: scallop square punch, 1 9/16" square punch, foam tape, corner rounder, ribbon (Michael's), mini rhinestones (Michael's), Crayola white crayon, paper piercer

For a Friend - WSC54

This is the first time I've done one of Beate's weekend sketches (WSC54). I'm glad she's back. I love this type of sketch. I had to create a card.

This was not a relaxing evening. It took forever to get Kalino to fall asleep. Tomorrow is his first day of Kindergarten. I think we are all a little nervous.

Card Ingredients
Stamps: For a Friend
Paper: Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie, Blue Bayou, Wild Wasabi, DSP (My Mind's Eye)
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Making Memories rhinestone brad, Martha Stewart circle cutter, dimensionals, silver mini beads (Michael's)
